General summary

The event that we're organising is shaping up nicely. We've got more and more going on. Highlights now include a speech of the Austrian Ambassador, Dr. Gabriele Matzner-Holzner, and of the President and Provost of UCL, Professor Malcolm Grant.

We've also got a sweet line-up of artists: Karin Aue (illustration, graphic design), Smallcaps alias Jeffrey Koh (photography, illustration), David Tett (photography), two Norwegian artists (painting and collage), another artist doing an art work on wittgenstein, Michael Allen (performance art) and two graffiti artists/graphic designers from Frankfurt.

Musicians that contributed to the soundtrack of the exhibition are: Opera composer Sidney Corbett, the minimal techhouse band Vierte Heimat, Berlin DJs and Producers Schlafcola and DJ Dionysos and ambient electronic music artist Dr. Nojoke.

If anyone (even from far away) still wants to contribute to the event, deadline for artists is the 23rd of February. This event has been advertised in all German departments of the University of London, will be circulated in the Goethe Institute newsletter, the German Academic Exchange Programme (DAAD) newsletter and internal staff emails and be visited from students and friends from all sorts of colleges. Great publicity then. We also have a budget now and some costs could be re-imbursed, so get your lazy bums up and contribute!

Malcolm Grant - UCL Provost and President

Malcolm Grant, the Provost and President of UCL, will be attending our event!

He will attend one of the afternoons, probably that Friday. Unfortunately, he won't be able to attend the evening, but I'll make sure to give him a copy of the film!

:)

Yahay to him!
